Roopkund is called the Mystery Lake. It is considered to be a glacial lake located at a high altitude within the state of Uttarkhand. It is a six day picturesque trek that nestled in Trishul massif’s lap. The trek takes the person through a sinister lake “Roopkund” which is 15700ft. It is popular for human skeletons which can be noticed in the lake. According to local legend, this lake is known to have ancient remains of people in several hundreds.

It is a wonderful trek that should be participated in and not missed out. This trail is known to begin from the oak forest passing through twin Bugyals of Bedni and Ali, rhododendrons forests and emerges above the treelines. Here, the trekkers are able to capture the magnificent views of Trishul, Badrinath and Nanda Ghunti’s giant peaks. This trek is for a period of 9 days.
